BBQT - Chapter 117

Chapter 117

Qu Letong’s death was rather tragic.

Her decision to endure her disgust and feign compliance with the mermaid had indeed been effective.

Perhaps it was the novelty, or perhaps the mermaid genuinely had some affection for her. In any case, once she stopped trying to escape or die, the mermaid reverted to the same attitude he’d had when they were dating.

But Qu Letong could never forget the horror that lay beneath his gentle mask.

Every day, he ate bloody, raw meat.

Fighting back her nausea, Qu Letong asked, “Why must you eat it raw? Can’t you cook it first?”

The mermaid shook his head, his smile gentle, though his lips were still stained with blood. “No, it must be fresh and bloody. It’s good for us.”

Qu Letong silently committed this to memory, planning to pass the information along later.

Qu Letong successfully passed information to the outside twice.

But the third time, she was exposed.

Not everyone on Blue Star was fighting back, trying to drive the mermaids from their planet.

She was discovered entirely because a treacherous Blue Star human informed on her.

The mermaid, who had thought Qu Letong had become docile, was enraged.

“Haven’t I been good enough to you? Why do you still think about that group of food? Isn’t it good enough to stay by my side? Have I ever mistreated you?”

As the mermaid questioned her, Qu Letong could no longer hold it in. She vomited directly onto him, and his expression turned exceptionally ugly. “You find me disgusting?”

Qu Letong shot back, “Aren’t you—aren’t all of you—disgusting? Every single moment I’m with you, I feel like throwing up!”

“Good to me? The kind of good where you see me as food? The kind of good where you’ll eventually eat me and put me in your stomach?”

The mermaid fell silent for a moment before nodding. “That’s right. You were my food to begin with. If I eat you and you’re in my stomach, you’ll still be with me.”

In the end, Qu Letong was eaten by the mermaid as food.

Qiu Chi was silent after reading through the story.

This was a bit too graphic.

Although she was confident in her own martial prowess, Qiu Chi still chose not to seal her memories.

In a place like this, she had no desire to exhaust herself fighting mermaids all alone. She needed everyone to work together.

Qiu Chi arrived on the first day of Qu Letong’s boyfriend, Wenren Xiu, going missing.

His disappearance meant their spaceship had been repaired and they had returned, and a signal had already been sent.

Qiu Chi clicked her tongue, feeling it was a shame.

If she had arrived a little earlier, she could have killed Wenren Xiu a few times over.

However, it wasn’t entirely impossible now. It would be a bit troublesome, but for the satisfaction of killing Wenren Xiu, she didn’t mind the trouble.

Since there was an alien invasion, it meant travel to other planets was possible. Though she didn’t have a spaceship, she didn’t need one at all.

Qiu Chi flew directly out of Blue Star’s atmosphere, blade in hand.

The system was already numb. No matter what Qiu Chi did now, it no longer found anything amiss.

The mermaid planet’s spaceship was quite fast, but Qiu Chi was not slow either.

It took her a little time, but she caught up to their ship.

On the spaceship, Wenren Xiu gazed in the direction of Blue Star, a hint of longing in his eyes.

But when he saw Qiu Chi flying toward them through the void, his eyes widened in disbelief. “Tongtong?”

Qiu Chi raised her blade. “Tongtong, my ass!”

With a single slash, the repaired spaceship was damaged once again. She hadn’t used much force; after all, letting them die too easily would be too merciful. She had to keep them alive for a bit of torture.

Qiu Chi landed on the ship and looked at the mermaids. They watched her with wary eyes, some already baring their hideous, steel-like fangs.

“Truly ugly,” Qiu Chi remarked with utter disgust.

Wenren Xiu started to step forward, but Qiu Chi immediately warned, “Stay right where you are. I’m afraid if I swing this blade, your top and bottom halves might get separated.”

Wenren Xiu frowned, his eyes filled with confusion. “Tongtong, why did you follow us?”

The mermaids were physically powerful, and their intelligence wasn’t bad, but they were somewhat inflexible in their thinking and lacked a rich imagination.

For instance, any normal person could see that Qiu Chi was clearly not Qu Letong, even if they had the exact same face. But Wenren Xiu couldn’t tell.

Qiu Chi had no desire to listen to their nonsense. She put away her blade and took out her whip.

“I came to take care of you.”

“Seeing you in your mermaid forms now, I’m quite curious. If you die, will you turn into actual fish?”

After saying something to the other mermaids in a language she didn’t understand, Wenren Xiu turned back to Qiu Chi, his gaze gentle. “Tongtong, stop fooling around. You can’t beat us. But I can answer your question. No, we are mermaids, not fish.”

“Oh, what a pity.”

After expressing her regret with a deadpan face, Qiu Chi didn’t wait for Wenren Xiu to speak again and lashed out with her whip.

The mermaids were powerful?

Qiu Chi: Powerful where? I don’t see it!

Compared to Qiu Chi, these mermaids were nothing but trash.

Wenren Xiu could no longer maintain his gentle facade. “Tongtong, do you have any idea what you’re doing? I didn’t even blame you for damaging the ship just now. As long as you stop this nonsense, I won’t be angry with you.”

Qiu Chi gave Wenren Xiu a look one might reserve for an idiot. “Who do you think you are? You won’t get angry with me? What good is your anger? Can you even beat me?”

“Tongtong, why have you become so unreasonable?”

Qiu Chi couldn’t be bothered with his drivel and struck him with the whip.

The mermaids’ tails, teeth, and nails were incredibly hard, but one lash from Qiu Chi’s whip was all it took. The supposedly tough tail was no match for it. A bloody gash appeared on the beautiful tail, and Wenren Xiu’s eyes turned red as he bared his steel fangs.

Qiu Chi commented again, “Truly ugly.”

The other mermaids couldn’t speak the language of Blue Star very well. They could only glare at Qiu Chi with red, furious eyes, baring their fangs, showing their sharp nails, and thrashing their seemingly beautiful yet dangerous tails.

Unfortunately for them, none of it was effective.

Qiu Chi found that they reeked of fish and, disgusted, refused to let any of them get close.

She used her whip to lash their beautiful tails until they were dripping with blood.

A mermaid’s tail must be quite important. They hadn’t been this angry even when she damaged the ship, but now, with a single whip strike to their tails, their eyes grew even redder.

Qiu Chi was here to torture them, so naturally, she would attack the places that provoked their anger.

Then, she accidentally split one of the mermaids in two, separating its tail from its body. The other mermaids went berserk, trying to close in on Qiu Chi.

As for the one who had been split, its tail gradually dissolved into foam and disappeared, leaving only the mermaid’s upper body.

Qiu Chi raised an eyebrow. “A little interesting.”
