Erotic Survival Game - Chapter 345
Chapter 345: Theme KTV (2)
The manager left. The display screen across from them, wrapped in vines, continued to play songs with their original vocals. In the dim lighting, it felt like being in a tropical rainforest at night.
Only the six players, now paired into three couples, remained in the private room.
It had been a long time since she'd played a game under NPC-monitored cameras. Ji Ning dutifully played her role as "Princess," smiling sweetly as she snuggled up to Number 5, attending to him.
"What would President Li like to drink? May I pour you a glass of champagne?"
"Mm." Number 5 gave a faint nasal hum.
After pouring the wine, Ji Ning turned back and handed it to him, leaning in to whisper inconspicuously, "Play your role well, or it could cost you your life. You can speak freely, but remember to act in character."
Then she took his wrist and placed it on her waist, pressed her other hand to his chest, and used her body weight to push him back against the sofa, the two of them leaning against the backrest together.
This would better fit the setting and their roles, just like the other two couples.
From where Ji Ning sat, she could see the other two male players were already getting handsy with their female partners.
It seemed the male players' identities had additional attributes, just like when she first entered the game and Brother Xing Ye had drawn the role of "rich second-generation john."
Thinking of Xing Ye, that first bewildering instance experience came vividly back to her.
Recalling the past softened Ji Ning's heart, and her gaze at Number 5 took on an added gentleness, as if looking at her "former self."
Earlier, when she'd guided his hand to hold her, she'd felt his prominent knuckles and the bulging veins on his arms—clear signs of strength.
Now his hand had rested on her waist for a long while but still only hovered lightly there. His fingertips were warm, but his restraint kept things from feeling suggestive.
It was only after she'd pressed him back against the sofa that he finally spoke his first words: "You don't mind?"
Number 5's voice sounded very much like the protagonist of an anime Ji Ning used to like, especially when he spoke short sentences in that casual, low tone.
Ji Ning's soul practically quivered; her wandering attention snapped back to Number 5's face.
Now that his eyes were open, his unfathomable aura grew even more pronounced.
Logically, even someone on their first day at a new job would be nervous, let alone a person entering the Survival Game for the first time.
Yet behind Number 5's sense of detachment from his surroundings, there was none of that newcomer's unease.
Ji Ning couldn't help but guess that perhaps Number 5's pre-game job had involved a heavy dose of social interaction.
"There's nothing to mind; it's all about survival. You need to adapt as fast as you can." Ji Ning shifted her hips, pressing herself even closer to Number 5.
"Ah~"
A coquettish moan came from beside them, making Ji Ning and Number 5's side seem like they hadn't gotten into the swing of things yet.
The hand on her waist suddenly tightened firmly, and the rim of a champagne glass was brought to her lips.
"Li Xiu." He stated his name briefly, then switched to a commanding tone: "Feed me the wine."
Ji Ning froze for a second, then realized he was introducing himself to her.
This act was very "un-Survival Game" of him, but it gave Ji Ning an inexplicable feeling that even when they were forced to perform, there was still respect and sincerity between them.
The feeling was novel, and it also brought Ji Ning a sense of comfort.
Indeed, only by meeting new players could she get the chance to experience such a wondrous feeling.
"Ji Ning." She took the glass, lowered her head, and earnestly told him her name. Then she brought the glass to her lips, took a sip of wine, leaned in toward him, and lifted her head to touch her lips to his.
Li Xiu lowered his head to meet her.
The wine passed through the slight gap between their lips. A few drops occasionally escaped, trickling from the corner of their mouths down to Ji Ning's neck below, then sliding across her chest.
Tasting the girl's sweet breath and the sweet wine, Li Xiu's inner thoughts were completely detached from the rising warmth of the moment.
Ji Ning.
The name rang a bell; before entering the game, he'd glanced at the current two leaderboards, and her name had been ranked relatively high.
But this girl's behavior didn't match what he'd expect from someone who'd climbed so high.
Her kindness and guidance toward a new player, along with her slightly clumsy kissing skills, made her seem like a young player who hadn't been in the game long and hadn't yet weathered much bloodshed and turmoil.
Was she just too lucky? Or had she been sheltered too well?
But Li Xiu didn't particularly care about the reasons behind it. After all, studying players wasn't part of his job responsibilities.
